I have had the same best friend since my junior year in highschool and she is hands down one of the biggest blessings in my life. Last night we had the oppertunity to enjoy girl talk and coffee . . it was delightful!! Such a good friend is so rare!
Our friendship has survived me dating my future husband, her leaving for college, me getting married and me being a momma that is just the SHORT LIST!! Over the years we have cried and laughed, yelled and screamed together though many of life's trials and joys! You know what I love about us? The fact that we can get mad at each other and get over it. When we have a fight and OH WE'VE HAD QUITE A FEW- I never have to wonder IF we will get over it just WHEN. She is just comfortable. . .
I have to laugh though when I think of our conversation last night. She was taking a few hours to escape the stress of career and (singleness or maybe not so singleness.) I on the other hand was unwinding from the stress of being a wife and momma.
No matter, we love each other anyway . . . and perhaps we realize that EVERY stage of life has it's trials :)
