What's In A Card?

People are different when it comes to card giving and expressing their feelings some search a long time to find just the right card, still others just find the first card they think will work and get out of the store. When I was growing up I HATED going card shopping with my Mom she would take forever looking and reading-- she even read some more than once before making a selection!! I never really paid much attention as a kid, though as I've gotten older I've observed that she never writes a note in her cards she always just signs them with a closing (Love Mom) in my case. That is why she puts so much effort into the process of choosing a card, it has to fit the person just right just how it is.
I on the other hand buy a card I like well enough and then write some sort of personal note inside so that it fits the person and situation. I am a writer she is an artist -- I think that may be the difference. Mom, I love you and my birthday card I know you looked at a dozen, just to get the right one ♥
