I am sew cool!

Quite some time ago my grandparents went to an auction and picked me up a sewing machine for get this, $7.50. At least once a week since then my grandma has called to see if I have been sewing anything . . I kept telling her that I had not been sewing anything - but then, who could blame me? I have been awfully busy perfecting my apple pie making skills!

My cousin is having a baby in December and someone is hosting an on-line shower in her honor. I wanted to make her baby a blanket. I sat down at my trusty machine determined to in fact, sew something. The problem, my sewing machine may have been quite a bargain, but it did not come with a manual. Consequently no one really knew how it should be threaded, without being threaded exactly right it didn't run very well. My frustration was growing, I was entertaining the idea of buying her a gift and forgetting that I ever tried to sew baby a cute monkey blanket it the first place!

Then the phone rang it was my grandpa asking okay begging us to come down. We took hm up on his offer and loaded everyone in the car. As it turned out my great-aunt was at my grandparents' house and she used to work at a quilting shop. She knew how to thread the machine right away, she and my grandma helped me finish the cute monkey blanket and it should, hopefully go in the mail today. YEAH ME!!
