I am sure that you're all wondering what bugs have to do with school and the answer is, I confess, I took the bug picture just to get a response from my sister-in-law! School, has however been big news around our house these last couple of days! Bubby ate Cinnamon biscuits for breakfast yesterday. Then he and donned his brand new back pack to head off to his first day of preschool. This morning Hubby (who declined to be pictured above :) also put on his (not so new) backpack, and downed what I presume to be a significant amount of coffee before heading off to his first day of building trades class.

So, is it a katydid? (AKA leaf hopper or Pseudophyllinae) I found a similar photo online, but I couldn't figure out how to post it to the comments. I'll have to send it by email...
