I cannot be pregnant forever, right?

I was REALLY hoping that our sweet baby T would be making his grand entrance into our family by now. That does not appear to be happening, though I suppose there is still time for him to pull off a surprise appearance before the end of this fine LABOR day weekend. How appropriate would that be?

As much as I would love to be introducing you all to our newest little man . . . and telling you how utterly adorable he is in person . . . and making you jealous because you can't smell his sweet baby smell through your computer screen . . . It will just have to wait!

While we're waiting maybe we can all entertain, I mean distract ourselves with the long awaited unveiling of our most recent home improvement project. It is with great joy in my heart and MANY thanks to my Hubby --that I am finally able to present to you . . .

Operation T Needs A Place To Rest His Head/ Momma Needs A Place To Wash Diapers!

I Was 36 Weeks pregnant and T still had no place to rest his head! We live in a small(ish) house that only has two bedrooms upstairs. I am just not ready to move Bubby to the basement by himself at four years old. I am certainly not opposed to the boys sharing a room. I am actually a big fan of room sharing between siblings, however I am an even bigger fan of my sleep (what little I can get with a newborn anyway!) I am prepared to be up with the baby of course, but a four year old? Not so much! After many hours of head scratching, measuring and deliberating we did the only rational thing we could think of, we made a bedroom for our son in our closet!

Here is Hubby hard at work tearing out the old closet . . .

Could I get you to believe that I was somehow gagged, bound and forced to watch someone paint my walls this color? Obviously-- I am joking, but seriously WHAT was I thinking?

This is the new closet all framed up and drywalled . . .

Hubby painting away, it's a fuzzy picture but he hates painting! So I felt obligated to document his labor of love for all to see :)

This is our room with new paint and curtains. My dresser is going to double as a changing station for T. The chair in the corner is my new (to me) nursing chair. I say new to me because it was quite the orange beauty when we hauled it out of Salvation Army! It cost us a whopping $3.00 though, and with a little determination and lots of safety pins I think it turned out really cute!

Here is the closet entrance all finished up!

The part you've all been waiting for . . . Welcome to, T's (Tiny) Spot To Rest His Head!
Daddy built the shelf, Grandma B. made the wall hanging and the crib was a gift from Grammy.
See he's spoiled already :)

Awwww. . . look at all those little clothes! Having been down this road not so long ago, I am going to savor every moment -- He'll be too big for those clothes in the blink of an eye!

A place to wash diapers (and other clothes. . .) Three cheers for no more basement laundry!
HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY!
