Elijah's First Sweet Corn

Elijah grew a row of sweet corn right outside his basement bedroom window. Yes, I'm sure that we looked a little silly with sweet corn growing right up against our house but Elijah had a wonderful time tending his "corn patch." I regret that I didn't think to take pictures of him proudly standing by the row, he was so cute. I did think to snap a picture when he brought his first ear in the house though, so without further adieu, I give you Elijah's first ever ear of sweet corn. He really did grow it almost entirely on his own, he planted, watered, weeded, and harvested away. He learned a lot and in the end he decided that he waited a long time for only a few ears of corn that didn't taste very good. When he does it again I think he will plant a different verity and maybe more corn too if space allows.
