My Sister Graduates

I can not believe that my baby sister graduated from high school today. I was 12 when she was born, it was like having my very own true to life baby doll. Then she became a toddler and developed an attitude, I think that spunk is part of what makes her special though. Courtney started kindergarten on the same day I started my senior year of high school, our mom made us eggs for breakfast and off we went. There was a little blonde girl in most of my prom pictures and she knew which of my friends could be talked into playing Candy Land with her. My sister was 9 when Aaron and I were married and she could not wait to be a bridesmaid. In middle school she loved basketball so much that she talked our parents into building a court in the backyard. I called home from college once, Courtney said she was working on a school project. Our mom could not come to the phone because SHE was elbow deep in paper mashé. My sister? perfectly clean. She was 11 when Elijah was born and I'm pretty sure it was love at first sight, Courtney has always been an amazing Aunt. I will never forget how proud I was when she texted me after hitting her first home run. We don't have too many shared interests, but softball is one of them. She says she doesn't like it when people call her Court but she lets me get by with it.

Courtney is going off to college now, I am not sure what she wants to do when she "grows up," but she's got the world at her feet. She's pretty, smart, and funny too.

Love you Baby Sister!
